Editorial Standards & Publishing Principles

At Nutrimentalpro, we are committed to delivering accurate, evidence-based nutrition information that empowers readers to make informed decisions about their wellness. This page outlines our editorial standards, fact-checking process, and commitment to transparency.

Our Core Principles

These five pillars guide every article, review, and recommendation we publish.

Evidence-Based

All nutrition advice is grounded in peer-reviewed research, clinical studies, and established nutritional science. We cite our sources transparently.

Balanced & Fair

We present multiple perspectives on nutrition topics. We acknowledge differing scientific viewpoints and explain why certain approaches may work differently for different people.

Transparent

We disclose author credentials, funding sources, and any potential conflicts of interest. Readers deserve to know who wrote the content and why.

Expert-Led

Content creators include registered dietitians, nutritionists, and wellness professionals. All contributors meet strict credentialing requirements.

Updated Regularly

We review and refresh articles annually or when new research emerges. Publication dates and revision dates are clearly marked.

Our Fact-Checking Process

Every article follows a rigorous multi-step review process to ensure accuracy and reliability.

1

Research & Source Verification

Authors begin by consulting peer-reviewed journals, university databases, and established health organizations. All primary sources are verified and cross-referenced.
2

Expert Editorial Review

Completed articles are reviewed by at least one senior nutrition or wellness expert. They verify claims, check citations, and ensure scientific accuracy.

3

Citation Check

Every claim with a citation is verified to ensure the source actually supports that statement. We use automated and manual tools to catch broken or misrepresented links.

4

Conflict of Interest Review

We verify that authors and reviewers have no undisclosed financial interests related to the topic. Any potential conflicts are flagged and managed transparently.

5

Final Copy Edit

A final editorial review ensures language is clear, claims are properly contextualized, and disclaimers are present where appropriate.

6

Post-Publication Monitoring

After publication, we monitor reader feedback and watch for new research that might affect the article's accuracy. Significant updates trigger a revision and notification.

Corrections & Updates Policy

Correction Requests

If you spot an error in any article—whether factual, typographical, or scientific—please contact our editorial team. We review all correction requests within 48 hours. Minor corrections (spelling, punctuation) are made silently and noted in the revision log. Substantive corrections (factual errors, outdated information) are made with a visible correction note at the bottom of the article.

Updates & Revisions

We review all published articles annually or when significant new research emerges. Major updates are marked with a "Last Updated" date at the top of the article. If an update changes the main conclusions or recommendations, we add a prominent update note explaining the change and why it was necessary.

Retraction Policy

If we publish an article that contains serious, irreversible factual errors that could mislead readers about health matters, we may fully retract it. In such cases, we publish a retraction notice explaining why the article was removed and what the correct information is. Retractions are rare and only issued when other corrections would not sufficiently address the problem.

Transparency in Sources

Every article lists its sources at the bottom or in citations. We link to original research where possible. If a source becomes unavailable or is later found to be unreliable, we update the citation and notify readers of the change. We do not rely on secondary interpretations of studies—whenever possible, we review the original research ourselves.

Reader Feedback

We welcome feedback, questions, and suggestions from readers. Comments help us improve accuracy and catch errors we may have missed. All feedback is taken seriously and reviewed by our editorial team. While we cannot respond to every inquiry, substantive feedback may lead to article revisions.

Report an Issue

Found an error or have concerns about an article's accuracy? We take all reports seriously. Please include:

  • The article title and URL
  • The specific claim or section in question
  • Why you believe it's inaccurate
  • Your source or evidence

Guidelines for Contributing Authors

Credentialing Requirements

All authors must have relevant professional qualifications in nutrition, health sciences, medicine, or related fields. Credentials are verified and disclosed in author bios. Guest contributors with lived experience are welcome if reviewed by a credentialed nutrition expert.

Sourcing Standards

Articles must cite peer-reviewed research, government health agencies, and established professional organizations. Authors should minimize reliance on anecdotal evidence and always distinguish between personal experience and scientific evidence.

Conflict of Interest Disclosure

Authors must disclose any financial interests, research funding, product sponsorships, or professional relationships relevant to the article topic. Failure to disclose conflicts may result in article rejection or retraction.

Balanced Presentation

Articles should acknowledge differing viewpoints in nutrition science. Avoid absolute language like "always," "never," or "guaranteed." Include nuance and explain why individual responses to nutrition advice may vary.

Appropriate Disclaimers

Articles about nutrition must include clear disclaimers that they are informational only and not a substitute for professional medical advice. Authors should not diagnose conditions or prescribe treatments.
